This is a great little gym! It's a good hybrid between hardcore grunt gyms and the socially friendly, quiet gyms. The staff is friendly, and they provide chalk (which is a big deal for powerlifters!). Dumbbells go up to 120 lbs, and they have a deadlift platform.
Incredible team of trainers that help with keeping me motivated and the massage specialist, David who helps with my recovery.

Best gym I know in South Reno for the 60+ community! Plenty of equipment to use and friendly staff.
Love this gym. Most of those who are there work at creating a sense of community. Front desk is always welcoming, especially Paula. Trainers and management always on the floor, and responsive to concerns.
I joined Parkway to take classes. I also wanted to do the swim classes but they have too many people so I don't feel comfortable with that. The weight machines are not the easiest to learn to use and nothing like the gyms I have attended in the past. If you are starting out after a long long break it is best to get help. I do like the fitness classes and attend those regularly. We have a huge class with lots of participation. The gym is fairly clean but the restrooms become a mess after just a few hours especially after the swim classes with water all over the floors. Someone needs to check on it more regular. The locker room is small for the number of people that use it at one time so I avoid it. But a person has to go in to wash hands or use the restrooms. My biggest grip is the railings to the stairs as they are always sticky and makes me uncomfortable as germs may be lingering. I use the wet wipes they provide and thanks for those. I think it is important that when someone signs up that they are not bothered to work with a P.T. I got calls over and over and I was not planning on going that route. A firm "No" should be understood.
Nora is the best. She totally takes care of my kids. She works hard and keeps everyone safe. Thank you
