Michael Perez | Regional Training Director

My name is Michael Perez, Fitness Director of Parkway Athletic Club. I’ve been a trainer for over 17 years and have been working out for over 21 years.  My passion is helping empower others to develop and build positive relationships with food, fitness, and life! I come from a sports clinical background and have adapted my training style to work with any health and fitness background. I specialize in body transformation, athletic performance, and clinical rehabilitation. I have a B.S. in Exercise Science and a M.S. in Exercise Physiology. I am currently certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Health Fitness Specialist and a Clinical Exercise Physiologist. My goal is to empower all my clients to see that success and growth is absolutely achievable, with the right plan, modifications, and encouragement.

Jesse Townsend | Training Director

Jesse has been in the industry for over 15 years helping people become the best version of themselves. He specializes in strength and conditioning, weight loss transformation, body-building, youth fitness, and senior fitness. Jesse continues to work towards increasing his knowledge through continued education. Getting fit and healthy doesn’t have to be frustrating; Jesse strives to take the frustration out of the equation by providing clients with an experience that will get results without wasting effort.

Hey there, my name is Raelena. I started my fitness journey as a way to help invigorate my mental health and confidence. Being in the gym has helped me build confidence toward being my best self mentally and physically. I have been training for multiple years and am certified through the International Sports Sciences Association as a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Counselor.
My goal is to help people from all walks of life to build confidence in themselves and improve their quality of life. I believe that we are all capable of greatness but need that extra ‘oomph” to get us there.
I want every person who walks through the gym doors to feel like they are champions, the first part is getting comfortable with investing in your health. Let me help you get there!

When I was 15, I was overweight and needed a change. I started eating better and getting on the treadmill every day. Not because anyone told me to, I just knew I needed to. After about 6 months I started my Jiu Jitsu journey. Shortly after I got into MMA and Kali, and fell in love with combat sports. I went from 200lbs+ down to 145lbs. After a few competitions, I got up to 185lbs through strength and conditioning. I started getting more into fitness and wanted to help people like me get ready for competitions. I went out and got my NASM certification and stay on top of the current latest fitness changes so that I can pass on that knowledge to my clients and give them the best outcomes possible. I have been enjoying training my clients and helping them achieve their goals ever since. Are you ready for me to help you achieve your goals?

Hi! My name is Liss Reyes. I am originally from Colombia. I am a certified personal trainer through NASM. I have been in the industry for over 20 years helping people achieve the best health/ wellness they can. I know that no matter where a person is at in their life, they can achieve the highest fitness level they can imagine if they use a balanced workout system fit to their specific needs.

I began my fitness journey when I was 18 years when I was considered obese for my age, started getting posture and joint problems. I got into exercise to improve my health and decided to study Physical Therapy to help myself and others. During my journey to better my fitness and health I became a Bikini competitor and now I have successfully competed 3 times.

I believe we all have an inner power to change, and ultimately be the best version of ourselves. My goal is to inspire and give my clients the right tools to create a healthy body with a mindset capable of achieving anything. Teagan Hansen | Certified Personal Trainer

Hi, I’m Teagan, I’m currently working on my B.S. in Kinesiology. I started my fitness journey in sports and was a competitive endurance athlete for 10 years and worked my way to D1 athletics.  I found my passion for fitness through athletics and find enjoyment in helping people reach their fitness goals. I specialize in endurance and cardiovascular training but can help anyone reach their fitness goals. My goal with my clients is to foster productive and safe environment to best meet your needs. I want to provide accurate and helpful information in order to create an enjoyable and sustainable athletic process that will last a lifetime.

Tyler Hebert | Certified Personal Trainer

Hi, my name is Tyler Hebert. I am a certified personal trainer focusing on functional fitness, and weight management with resistance training. My passion for fitness started in the process of losing over 70 pounds and struggling with self-image issues. In my journey, I have dabbled in many different forms of exercise from fencing to Shotokan Karate. My passion flourished when I started to live a healthier lifestyle, in addition to incorporating gymnastic routines and resistance training. The freedom, mobility, and strength I gained also helped to skyrocket my internal and external outlook on life. I now want to pass on the knowledge I have to help others to gain peace of mind and freedom as we age. Whatever your goal may be, we can go beyond with a smile on our faces!

Mary Crow | Certified Personal Trainer

Hi, my name is Mary. I am a Certified Personal Trainer. I have an early background in gymnastics, from age 5-16 years old I trained and also competed for many of those years. Early in adulthood, I became a wife and eventually a mother of 5 children. I know through my own journey of raising kids that it’s easy to lose sight of your own health and well-being goals. While always being “active” throughout my life I was never really into strength training as an adult. I felt weak and lost my sense of identity. After overcoming multiple health issues and an ACL injury I finally took an approach I never did before, putting my health first. I have found a passion for exercise and strength training. Results don’t happen overnight, they are earned by hard work, and the process is progressive. All this takes commitment. Having first-hand knowledge of the journey has given me the passion to share it with others. I am excited for this chapter in my life, so come train with me, and let’s reach some goals!

Robert Hudson | Certified Personal Trainer

Hello everyone! My name is Robbie. I’m really excited to work with you. I have always been an active person and an athlete. I’ve played Rugby, and been an avid skier for over 10 years. I love the outdoors, and like most of us here in Northern Nevada I try to explore all the beauty we all have in our backyard. I have always had a passion for helping people become the best versions of themselves. I knew by becoming a personal trainer I would have the opportunity to use my passion, and knowledge to do just that. On my fitness journey, I’ve been a powerlifter working to push my musculoskeletal system to the limits so that I could perform at the highest level possible for strength. I have also had to work through different injuries. The knowledge, and patience I was able to gain through the different recovery processes has given me the ability to help clients through their recovery process. I know how to use my education/my life experience to help hold people accountable to the right process without guesswork. Being mentally and physically healthy is a day-by-day process that many people struggle with by themselves. Give me the opportunity to earn your trust one step at a time, and allow me to custom build a health and exercise program that you can feel confident about being committed to. One of my daily goals is to meet as many new members of Parkway Athletic Club as I can and offer some of my time to help members with their workout programs. Hello! My name is Jamie. I am a personal trainer certified through International Sports Science Association. I have had a passion for sports and athleticism from the early age of 12 years old. I fell in love with the gym, and strength training 5 years ago. I struggled with depression and alcoholism from the age of 16 years old. Fitness has saved me not only physically but mentally. I have lost over 40 pounds and transformed not only my body but my state of mind. I am extraordinarily passionate about sharing my knowledge and passion to help people be the healthiest and happiest version of themselves! Aloha my name is Rebecca. I am from the Big Island of Hawaii. I grew up swimming, surfing, and scuba diving. I have always had a very active lifestyle since childhood. I truly believe that movement and nutrition are the keys to a long healthy life. My background in the medical field has helped me develop a strong foundation in health and fitness.

I started my fitness career teaching yoga and stress management at a cardiac rehabilitation center. I have also attained certification as a personal trainer, nutrition, and corrective exercise coach. I fell in love with weight training and now compete in the bikini bodybuilding category. I really enjoy helping people wherever they are in their fitness journey. My goal is to make fitness fun and my clients successful.

Hello there! I’m Laila, and my fitness journey began with a deep passion for health and wellness, focusing on physical activity and nutrition. Since being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in 2022, the gym has been a lifesaver for my self-improvement journey. Through training, I’ve enhanced both my physical and mental well-being. Following over a year of training with Parkway, I was inspired to pursue a career as a Personal Trainer.

My expertise lies in nutrition, weight loss, strength training, conditioning, and senior fitness.  Nicole Spanial | Certified Personal Trainer

Hello, I’m Nicole, and my passion for sports and fitness has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. My love for the gym blossomed in high school, shaping my career aspirations. Dealing with knee issues, I immersed myself in the gym, witnessing improvements in various aspects of my life. It became a sanctuary for my stress and depression, boosting my self-confidence. Guiding my friends in training became a joy as I found fulfillment in helping them feel good about themselves. The beauty of the gym lies in the fact that there is always room for improvement, and no finish line to limit growth.

I am certified through the International Fitness Association and continue to expand my expertise in fitness and nutrition through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. While officially certified for a year, I have been training friends for a few years. My goal is to empower others to discover their physical potential, supporting their journey to become who they aspire to be, both physically and mentally. My name is April Earl, Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor, and Yoga Instructor. I have been training clients for 17 years. I enjoy helping people reach their health and fitness goals which ultimately leads to a healthier lifestyle. My certifications and educational accomplishments include Personal Training and Specialist in Strength and Conditioning (through ISSA), Pilates, Ashtanga Yoga, and Restorative Yoga. I also have an MBA and B.S. in Community Health Sciences from the University of Nevada, Reno. I look forward to continuing this vocational journey in health and wellness for I believe that physical fitness is one of the primary requisites to living a better quality of life.

Hello! My name is Jake Covert, and I have been a dedicated personal trainer for four years. I hold a Bachelor’s in Neuroscience and am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Chiropractic. I am a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and hold additional certifications in Corrective Exercise, Physique and Bodybuilding coaching. I specialize in nutrition, rehabilitation, and bodybuilding, but can work with all types of clients, from beginners to advanced athletes, tailoring programs to meet their unique needs. My experience is further enriched by my background in college football, which has provided me with a solid foundation in athletic training and performance optimization. I am passionate about helping clients achieve their fitness goals and enjoy creating customized programs that ensure their success. My goal is to provide evidence-based techniques and incorporate scientific principles into all aspects of training, ensuring that clients receive the most effective and efficient fitness strategies.
